Unemployment Rates for US States
North Dakota has the lowest unemployment rate at low 3.8%. Its neighbor South Dakota comes in second, with a 4.7% unemployment rate.
The worst state is Michigan with an unemployment rate at 14%. Nevada is also suffering with a high 13.7% rate.
The chart also shows the year-to-year change from 2009, and not surprisingly, most states have had worsening numbers. Only 6 States have actually improved their unemployment numbers — Oregon, Indiana, Minnesota, Vermont, South Dakota and North Dakota.
